The name of this cat is Charlie

charlie.jpg

See how I am followed by cute animals? Charlie is a Burmese, like the mysterious cat who hangs around my flat, only smaller. He has the run of my parent’s house and is fascinated by moving objects, shiny objects, trailing objects, round objects and high, flat surfaces. Tomorrow I install everything properly. And start curtailing Charlie’s freedom.

Any ideas for special pages in the Jitterati book to break up the flow of cartoons? 300 is a lot to read in one chunk. So far I’ve thought of a making-of, a Jaimee pinup, an index and notes under the more obscurely topical toons. What else would be nice?

  1. Something Jaimee wrote on a scrap of paper in a cafe whilst waiting for the other two to arrive. A stream-of-consiousness rumination on the relevance of cafes in modern societies and how WW2 would never have happened if Hitler had spent more time in cafes because he’d have spent all his time talking about invading Poland but never actually doing it.

  2. Kewl… it’s that sort of dynamic thinking I’m looking for.

  3. ~A glossary & location guide to cafés that have gone by the wayside.. or continue to operate under another name.. ditto galleries, businesses, etc, … that have been mentioned in the plot.

~A big animated street scene of one of the LOTR première red-carpet days.
Just ‘cos I have really fond memories of running events based around those, and the first time I was consciously pleased to hear OdESSA was when they played on the Opera balcony, at the ROTK première…

Back to Charlie: this cat sounds like it might be a magpie in pretty fur, especially with the preponderance of enjoyment of shiny things :-D

This is going to sound dull in comparisson, but how about a guide for newbies? Who’s what, their potted biography, their shameful secret that they hope nobody finds out, that kinda thang.

Sorry, I just had to type ‘thang’ to see what it was like and it was as dumb and contrived as I thought it would be.
