Another slightly blurry kitty photo

sky.jpg

This cat is called Sky. I haven’t seen a single person all day, but I’ve met plenty of cats. They’ve worked out fairly quickly that I’m not going to feed them, but they love me anyway. A damp Charlie is currently asleep in the linen cupboard.

I’ve set everything up, and started editing 300 Jitterati cartoons. It’s the sort of repetitive action (programmable in Photoshop) which, annoyingly, still requires a certain amount of attention. I left my flat in a hurry, and the only important thing I left behind was my drawing board (er duhr!) so I’ll have to retrieve that tomorrow. Until then I’ll draw on any flat surface, except for the cats.

  1. There’s a reason why damp cats shouldn’t be put in linen cupboards… unless, of course you like linen with an overlay of eau-de-chatte-pleuvĂ©e .. I tend to prefer lavendar water on linen, myself.
I’m hoping you meant “on a towel of decent thickness, directly over the hot water cylinder and nowhere near the clean stuff”.
    But then, I’m a domestic pedant ;-)

At least it wasn’t wet dog!

There’s an interesting meeting happening tonite on campus at 6pm, where Aaron Packard from Gecko is going to talk about the concept of Gross National Happiness (as opposed to GDP, the more usual economic indicator), and his trip to Bhutan.
Sounds like an appealing paradigm shift, and I might go along just to break my current lethargy & boredom threshholds.
Cotton 304, if anyone else would like to join me, it’s Gecko & friends, so an open invite.

BTW, film nite went well, despite me never getting fliers photocopied, but the e-version was sent all over the place.
The films were really good, although I found myself gritting my teeth rather alarmingly at some points. Bush was in far too many frames!
The analysis of how bad/biased editorial process can really screw with a media organisation was very pertinent. Ok, I’ll stop there! :-D

Thanks for the help with my first photoshop project, now I’m reading up on the software & realising how much more I can do ;-)
