Well, I finished Ulysses. That is, I read the final 40 pages (which is eight very long sentences), read the notes at the back, then read the lucid summary in The Bloomsday Book by Harry Blamires. And then I was finished. I just have to read Anna Karenina and I’ll have finished my personal list of Big Long Important Novels I Have To Read In My Life Sometime.
