Praise is good

There was a nice mention of Jitterati as a “stand out favourite in our Reader’s Poll” in yesterday’s Capital Times, which is funny when you consider it was the only section or column of the magazine not listed in the poll, and it wasn’t mentioned in the results a few weeks ago – so everyone who commented favourably on it had to write in the name of the damn thing.

I suppose that’s the best kind of praise, the sort that prevails despite exclusion.

  1. Wot? Not H Westfold?

  2. An economist might say the experiment was biased against reaching this conclusion. As the conclusion was in fact reached, it is therefore strengthened.

Almost any other social or proper scientist might say this, too.
