The Coolest Ad Ever

“Okay, this what we want on our Armageddon ad. It’s aimed at impressionable comic readers and gamers, so see if you can make it look like an adventure comic.”
“Adventure comics? I don’t think people read those anymore.”
“They don’t?”
“Wouldn’t it be cooler to make it look like some sort of video game? You know, strategic planning, console readouts, that sort of thing?”
“No. Adventure comics are cool. We want to stress the action. It’s an action-packed job.”
“Here’s the photos we want you to use.”
“Uh… these headshots?”
“They’re not very… dynamic, are they?”
“You can fix that, just put some cartoon sound effects in the background.”
“Like… ‘Bam!’ and ‘Pow!’?”
“Perfect. ‘Bam!’ and ‘Pow!’. You can’t go wrong with ‘Bam!’ and ‘Pow!’. You can just taste the action.”
“There isn’t really that much hand-to-hand combat in the armed forces anymore, is there?”
“No, but it sounds cool.”
“How about if I put the headshots through a couple of Photoshop filters as well? To make them look really comic-y?”
“That would be awesome.”
